Are you a journalism student thinking of specialising in science, technology or engineering?
Are you a science, technology, engineering student who is considering journalism as a career?
Apply for a student scholarship to attend the UK Conference of Science Journalists 2018 in London, where the focus will be on new and emerging technologies and digital innovations in media and reporting. The goal is to help you future-proof your career by learning about the latest key media trends and pick up new digital tools and skills that are becoming essential to freelancing or thriving in the augmented newsroom.
As the UKCSJ18 is now less than a month away (Tue 16 October) there is a tight time-scale for applying for the scholarships. You will need to complete the student scholarship application form by Wed 3 October and will be informed of your success or otherwise on Fri 5 October to provide time for you to make necessary travel and accommodation arrangements.
The scholarship will cover the cost of standard class return travel and any necessary transfers, plus bed and breakfast in a budget hotel (approx £100 per night).
The student scholarships have been made possible by the ABSW’s scholarships partner UK Research and Innovation
